The Advocacy Network for Children is a combination of the organizations of CASA (Court Appointed SPecial Advocates) and the Children's Advocacy Center. This agency aides in the protection of abused and neglected children, and offers court assistance to children and their families.

This program operates under the premise of one adult helping one child along with group activities for all participants. Children ages six to sixteen are referred by parents, social agencies, schools, probation officers, and concerned friends. Most come from single parent homes. Volunteers come from all walks of life and are 18 years of age and older.

The Boy Scouts of America is an organization for boys from first grade through senior year in high school. Explorer Scouts are for both boys and girls from ninth grade through the age of twenty one. Each summer, the Mississippi Valley Council sponsors two camps for the scouts at Saukenauk Scout Reservation and Camp Eastman in Nauvoo.

This is a free toy lending library coordinated by the Quincy Public Schools Family Education/ Involvement Program offering safe play materials and toys to enhance the child/ parent interaction. Transitions of Western Illinois is an outpatient community mental health center service primarily serving Adams County. It provides counseling, care, treatment and rehabilitation services to the chronically mentally ill and the developmentally and physically handicapped. Fees are negotiable.

W.I.C. is a program for women who are pregnant, are breast-feeding or who have an infant or child under five years old. It is a program for these people with health or nutrition related risks who meet income guidelines. It provides supplemental nutritional food to eligible pregnant women, mothers, infants and children.

This child care resource and referral agency provides parents with information necessary to make child care choices and manages the child care assistance program for parents needing help paying for their child care.  WCCCC offers child care providers technical assistance and training necessary to enter and stay in profession.  Support and information are offered to employers and community groups interested in child care issues.  As a community resource, WCCCC can identify and respond to child care needs within the Illinois counties of:  Adams, Brown, Calhoun, Cass, Greene, Hancock, Jersey, Pike  and Schuyler.
