What We Offer: Comprehensive telephone information and referral for help with health, social, support and human services. Compassionate listening.  We are here to listen and understand callers' needs, so we can provide them with effective referrals to alleviate their problems. Web searches.  If we don't know a local organization to help the caller, we will search the internet for other possible resources. Information about local and national support group organizations.

Why Call?
Some simply need a phone number or information about the availability of a  service.  Some need help finding health care, housing, food, utility and rent assistance, senior services, substance abuse programs and legal services.

All who call get the information the need - referrals that make a real difference - and something much more than information.  For some people living on the edge, Help Line offers hope and the realization that despite the gravity of their situation, there is for each caller the possibility that they indeed have some control over their lives.  And, for those agency staff persons who call requesting resource information for their clients, Help Line increases their ability to give those clients something they really need - power over their own lives.
