The Farm Bureau provides a variety of member-based agricultural related services. They offer numerous benefits to members such as education on marketing and support and technical services to anyone needing agricultural assistance. They also serve as the public relations and legislative mouthpiece for agricultural workers.

The Reading Center, a community outreach program of Quincy University and the division of Education, offers remedial and corrective instruction for area children, kindergarten through ninth grade, needing help in reading, the language arts, and study skills. A three week summer enrichment program is available in July. A child may be referred by any adult at any time of the year. Fall, spring and summer sessions are offered. Fees are negotiable and a child is never refused enrollment for financial reasons.
