Community Resources

Resource Investment

The United Way annual campaign raises much needed dollars that support over 40 community programs.  The Resource Investment Process puts those dollars to work by reviewing the programs and making funding decisions on how that money is invested back into the community.  This process is driven by volunteers from the community who are given the opportunity and responsibility of getting to know the organizations that provide these much needed social and human services that work to improve lives in this community.

This process requires 45-50 volunteers working together to review programs and funding request applications to ensure community donated dollars are allocated in a way that maximizes resources to support community betterment .   The volunteer time committment consists of 1 afternoon per week from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm from early March to late April.  This process gives volunteers the opportunity to learn about life changing and even life saving programs provided throughout this community, while representing the many donors who supported United Way's annual campaign.
