Joe Bonansinga Community Service Award

The Joe Bonansinga Community Service Award named after its first recipient, is given away annually to an individual who exemplifies the highest standards of community service. The first award was given in 1998.

The award is given to people who are exceptional community volunteer leaders that show qualities such as:

Orange Square
a high level of service, leadership by example
Orange Square
an intensity of energy in their work that invigorates and inspires others
Orange Square
longevity of service, work that nurtures the community
Orange Square
individuals who choose their commitments based on the needs of others and the benefit to the community, without thought of personal recognition
Orange Square
 individuals who exhibit the true joy of helping others

Joe Bonansinga
Joe Bonansinga is pictured above with the goal banner from the 1997 Campaign - the first million dollar goal campaign. Near the close of this campaign, he inspired campaign volunteers to reach the goal by saying, “Anything less is not acceptable for this community.”
