The Council is the foundation for a wide variety of social and educational programs serving the seniors of both local and rural Adams County. In addition to a Craft Workshop, there are regularly scheduled activities and special events. The Council also provides coordination of the Senior Transportation Program. Four Vehicles and one handicap bus are available for transport of people over 60. A small donation is requested for use of this service.

Addicts Victorious is a Christ-based Support Group Program that works with anyone suffering from any kind of problem, fear, and/or addiction.  Meetings are held in Quincy and at various locations in the tri-state area and are confidential in nature. Meetings are also free and open to anyone.  Aside from the regular Support Group Program, Addicts Victorious also offers Seniors Victorious, Teens Victorious, Women Victorious and an intensive "5-day Biblical Counseling Program" as well as "Advanced After Care Meetings with Rev. This program operates under the premise of one adult helping one child along with group activities for all participants. The Boy Scouts of America is an organization for boys from first grade through senior year in high school. Explorer Scouts and Venturing Scouting is for both young men and women in the ninth grade through age 21. The Mississippi Valley Council operates two camps for the scouts at Saukenauk Scout Reservation in Mendon, and Camp Eastman in Nauvoo. The Department of Human Services - Rehabilitation Services (DORS) is the primary Illinois State Government agency providing services to persons with disabilities. The agency also advocates on behalf of this segment of the state's population.
