Education Leadership Delegation
The Education Leadership Delegation is focused on two primary issues:
1) Early Education – working with parents and childcare providers to increase their efforts as their children’s first teachers so that children entering kindergarten will be prepared for school;
2) Community Appreciation – all too often community members are unaware of the good that happens in our schools both scholastically and through community service, and more needs to be done in this area.
In 2013, the Education Delegation launched a community-wide initiative known as Ready Set Grow Adams County, which is focused on the importance of early education. The Initiative, administered by the Regional Office of Education, was awarded seed funding through the United Way Community Building Council.
