Quincy Area Partnership for Unmet Needs is a coalition of private and public Adams County organizations formed in 1996 to assist individuals and families in crisis who had exhausted all other avenues of assistance. The Unmet Needs Committee has quietly been working to help efforts for ten years.
The Unmet Needs Committee pools resources and experience of community representatives from public agencies,institutions, churches, not-for-profit organizations in a team approach to find reasonable solutions for individuals in crisis. In FY 2006-2007, the committee provided financial assistance that impacted the lives of 195 people representing 31,209.90 for rent, utilities, transportation, medical needs and home repair. The Tracy Family Foundation supports the Unmet Needs Partnerships along with other individual and organization contributions.
The Goals of the Partnership are:

To personalize the delivery of social services to include follow-up and provide a recovery plan to diminish the need for further assistance, I.e. individual and family counseling , life skills and budget counseling. |

Share information (with signed release) that enhances each individual agency’s ability to serve the client while avoiding duplication of services and/or abuse. |

Direct public and private funding and resources in a focused manner. |

Advocate on the client’s behalf when necessary. |

Provide a partnership to respond to the funding available from private dollars, government programs and faith-based organizations. |

Interface with local government. |

Utilize available public funds before using private dollars. |

Distinguish between needs versus wants. |

Comply with the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and with all other federal , state and local laws that safeguard civil rights. |

Emphatically protect the confidentiality of all clients. |
