How to Help:
- Adopt a Family
- Community members, groups, and businesses are invited to adopt a nominated family and provide them with gifts, household essentials, and holiday cheer. To participate, please reach out to Makayla Buckley, Communications & Program Director, at 217‑224‑1223 to be matched with a family.
- Nominate a Family
- Local caseworkers identify and nominate families in need. Caseworkers partner with United Way to connect each family with support during the holidays.
- Volunteer as a Caseworker
- Caseworkers play a vital role in the campaign by reviewing family needs, gathering situational details, and ensuring appropriate matches to adoptive supporters. If you are interested in serving in this capacity, or learning more about eligibility and the nomination process, please contact United Way. Please note that all caseworkers must complete a brief training before presenting a case.
- Volunteer Center
- Each year, the Volunteer Center opens at Quincy Town Center for shopping and gift wrapping. For 2025, the center will run from around December 1 through December 18, though exact dates and location details are being finalized. Volunteer center hours will be announced soon, so check back or reach out for updates.
- Volunteers can bring friends, coworkers, church groups, or simply show up solo. To get involved or receive the latest information (including center hours), contact Makayla Buckley at 217‑224‑1223.
