Annual Campaign

“Adams County is a special place and the overwhelming support we've received from the community these past few years shows that,” said United Way of Adams County CEO Jeremy Wingerter. “Despite the challenges we continue to face, the needs of our community and our valued partner agencies remain. We hope Quincy and Adams County join us in helping to provide the funding needed for the children and families we serve each day.”

Officials urge the community to give more than they have previously, or for the first time altogether, ensuring critical services and programs United Way invests in continue uninterrupted for those that need it the most.

“A successful United Way campaign means people in Adams County are given access to the same opportunities as everyone else,” said 2022 campaign chairperson Brooke Stokes. “Each year is critical - this year especially - in so many ways. We’re hoping to keep our promise to those we serve by meeting and exceeding our goal. With everyone’s help, we know we can.”

United Way of Adams County, IL., advances the common good by creating opportunities for a better life for all. Our focus is on education, financial stability, and health because these are the building blocks for a good quality of life. United Way recruits people and organizations from all across the community who bring the passion, expertise and resources needed to get things done. For 85 years, local agencies and thousands of volunteers and donors have joined the movement by committing to give, advocate, or volunteer because that’s what it means to Live United.

Throughout its 84-year history, United Way has been connecting people and resources to meet the needs of others. We are the bridge to new opportunities as we focus on ensuring children and youth are on track for success in school, encouraging work readiness and financial stability, and increasing access to vital health services.

Through generous support by companies and individuals across Adams County, United Way supports 28 partner agency programs, numerous county-wide initiatives and community support services. United Way and its partners impact over 34,000 people each year – roughly 46% of all residents in Adams County. Teams of campaign volunteers reach out to area businesses, professionals and individuals to share how United Way approaches community investment, strengthens non-profit partner agencies, leverages state/federal dollars and ultimately impacts lives of children and adults.
