Annual Campaign

We announced at our 2021 virtual Annual Meeting that we had surpassed our fundraising goal for our 2020 annual campaign.

United Way finished the 2020 #StartsWithYOU campaign with $1,125,000 raised, topping a $1,100,000 goal, to allow continued support of our many services, programs, and funding to our 19 partner agencies.

The 2020 United Way of Adams County #StartsWithYou campaign was led by Philip Krupps, president of wealth management and UCB Bank and co-chaired by Chuck Scholz, attorney at law.

Community Match - Richard A. Perrett Family Foundation
United Way of Adams County is excited to announce a generous gift to kickstart its annual campaign. The Richard A. Perritt Family Foundation, managed by United Way campaign cabinet member Mark Tyrpin and his family, has agreed to donate $50,000 to the United Way’s 2020 ‘Living United Starts With You’ campaign contingent that the community gives $50,000 in new monies. If the amount given by individuals and corporations in 2020 meets or exceeds $50,000 in new donations (2019 campaign compared to the 2020 campaign), the Foundation will give a $50,000 gift to United Way of Adams County. United Way of Adams County has set a goal of $1MM in 2020.

“This community match is a thoughtful reminder that our community is better when we invest from within,” said 2020 campaign chair Philip Krupps. “We have the upmost appreciation for Mark’s family’s commitment and example that ‘Living United Starts With You’.”

Throughout its 83-year history, United Way has been connecting people and resources to meet the needs of others. We are the bridge to new opportunities as we focus on ensuring children and youth are on track for success in school, encouraging work readiness and financial stability, and increasing access to vital health services.

Through generous support by companies and individuals across Adams County, United Way supports 28 partner agency programs, numerous county-wide initiatives and community support services. United Way and its partners impact over 34,000 people each year – roughly 46% of all residents in Adams County. Teams of campaign volunteers reach out to area businesses, professionals and individuals to share how United Way approaches community investment, strengthens non-profit partner agencies, leverages state/federal dollars and ultimately impacts lives of children and adults.
